About Us
EdYouth Foundation is a community-driven nonprofit dedicated to supporting youth ages 11-25
Dedicated to serving the next generation of youth, counselors and community.
We provide professional mental health counseling services for youth and families, with flexible and affordable options so that cost is never what stands between someone and getting the help they deserve.
We specialize in working with young adults and adolescents, foster-involved and system-involved young people, at-risk youth and families, and young people navigating life transitions, trauma, or emotional challenges.
We understand the unique challenges facing the young people in our community, and we are trained and passionate about showing up ready to walk alongside you.
Bridging Gaps

Who We Are
We are a program developed to support young people in finding their way to the independent future they crave. We exist for the youth who are navigating more than most people know - those facing barriers, uncertainty, and challenges nobody else seems to get.
Our work is built around a simple but powerful belief: young people deserve real support as they discover who they are and where they're going. That means addressing the whole person, not just where they want to go, but how they feel, what they've been through, and what they need to move forward with confidence.
At EdYouth Foundation, we bring together two areas of service that are stronger together: pathways to success and mental health counseling. This page is home to our counseling program.

What We Believe
Every young person we work with carries their own story. Some of those stories include pain, loss, mistakes, or circumstances that were never within their control. We believe that none of those things define who someone is or what they are capable of becoming.
We do not see our clients through the lens of their struggles, their history, or their diagnosis. We see valuable human beings who deserve to be met with patience, honesty, and unconditional acceptance, exactly as they are, right where they are at.
We believe young people are not problems to be solved. They are individuals on their own unique journey, and our role is simply to help them see the whole picture while walking alongside them on their path to the future they strive for.

How We Work
A sincere note from our Clinical Director:
For some of us, caring for others has always come naturally, to the point it becomes central to our identity. As a struggling student in my teens, I faced the challenge of finding my place in a world where I could succeed while being true to my heart for helping others. This led me to dedicate my life to helping teens and young adults find their own identity, one shaped by their own strengths, challenges, and passions. As a counselor, I guide teens and young adults toward deeper self-awareness through a process of self-discovery. As a director, supervisor, and teacher, I help train up a future generation of counselors to do the same.
This calling is what shaped the vision of EdYouth Foundation's counseling program. We operate as a supervised training clinic, where graduate students and licensed associates provide counseling services under my direct clinical supervision. This gives our counselors the real-world experience they need to grow into exceptional clinicians, while allowing us to offer services at a significantly lower cost than a traditional counseling practice. We are committed to providing you the most affordable mental health care without ever compromising the quality of our services.
Our team also includes fully licensed clinicians (LPCs) whom I oversee and manage, allowing us to serve a broader range of clients, including those utilizing Medicaid and insurance plans not accessible to supervised clinicians.
To me, this has never been about a job. It is a lifelong commitment to the young people in our community and to the counselors who will spend their careers walking alongside them.

What Counseling Really is
For many people, the word "therapy" can seem to carry a weight it was never meant to. It can feel like a label, a last resort, or a sign that something is deeply wrong. The reality is, counseling is intended to help you let go of some weight, not add on to it.
Counseling, at its heart, is about connection. It is a relationship built on trust, consistency, and genuine, deep care. It is a space where you are not judged for what you feel, not pressured into someone else's answers, not perceived from a filtered perspective, and not expected to have it all together.
Joining Together in:
A safe, confidential space to process whatever you are carrying openly without judgement
Unconditional acceptance; connecting with who you really are and want to be
Compassion that meets you in your pain rather than rushing past it
Support for your own decision making, on your own timeline and helping you think through and understand it all yourself
A relationship that stays consistent, even when life seems not to
Counseling is not about being fixed. It is about being heard, joined, validated... And sometimes, that's exactly what changes everything.
