Every step of our journey, we've focused on staying true to our values and making space for thoughtful, lasting support services.

Our Directors

EdYouth Foundations Leadership is composed of an Executive Director and a Clinical Director who share a deep commitment to the youth in our community and to building something that truly serves them.

Together, we bring experience in mental and behavioral health, counseling education, workforce development, and community partnerships to support young people as they build their futures.

Clinical Director

EdYouth Foundation Counseling Services

“This is not just a job to me…

This is my heart and my calling.”

Dr. Felicia Elise Lewis, PhD, LPC-S

During our previous work together, I had the privilege of getting to know Dr. Hudson and discussing our joint passions for supporting struggling youth.  When she reached out to me about helping her with the EdYouth Foundation as the Clinical Director, I was immediately on board but had no idea how meaningful this would become to me.

EdYouth Foundation Counseling is turning out to be the place where all my passions come together.  While I had previously planned to have multiple jobs to be able to do everything I long to do, the EdYouth Foundation is providing the range of services and supervisory opportunity I have always craved.

At EdYouth Foundation, I am building the training clinic I always envisioned: a place where graduate students and LPC-Associates receive the kind of supervision and mentorship that actually prepares them for this work, while providing affordable, high-quality mental health care to the young people who need it most.

Dr. Lewis holds a PhD in Counseling Education and Supervision and is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPC-S) credentialed by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors (a division of the Behavioral Health Executive Council (BHEC)).

Founder, Executive Director & Owner

Dr. Elizabeth Hudson, PhD

I am Dr. Elizabeth Malveaux-Hudson, Founder and Executive Director of EdYouth Foundation. I lead the organization’s vision and mission to support youth and families through behavioral health access, mentorship, workforce development, and college readiness pathways. With more than 25 years of experience in education and counseling, I have served as a school counselor, Director of Guidance and Counseling, university professor, and School Counseling Program Coordinator.

I hold a PhD in Counseling and am deeply passionate about creating innovative, community-based pathways that help youth and families thrive through emotional support, mentorship, education, and career development. My long-term vision for the EdYouth ecosystem is to build stronger futures for adolescents and young adults by connecting behavioral health support with meaningful opportunities for personal growth, education, and workforce success.

Dr. Felicia Lewis and I previously worked together in a professional setting, where I had the opportunity to witness her leadership, compassion, and commitment to supporting youth and families firsthand. Because of our shared passion for expanding access to quality behavioral health services, I invited Dr. Lewis to join EdYouth Foundation as Clinical Director of EdYouth Counseling to help strengthen and guide the clinical vision of the organization.

Our Story

EdYouth Foundation’s concept was originally created by our Executive Director Dr. Elizabeth Hudson in 2019 as a non-profit service designed for supporting struggling adults in the Dallas area. Over the next few years, a specific area of need began to come in to sight that become the foundation to the comprehensive program known as EdYouth Foundation today.

In February of 2026, our Executive Director, Dr. Hudson and Clinical Director, Dr. Lewis came together to conceptualize and build the two sides of EdYouth Foundation to establish a unified approach to serving youth in an inclusively dynamic way. Both directors hold a PhD in counseling, have several years of experience as counseling professors, and have extensive training and experience in their fields of Counseling.

What began as a passion project has evolved into something more.

We’re proud of where we’ve been and even more excited for what’s ahead.

What sets us apart isn’t just our programs, it’s the heart behind it all. We take time to understand, explore, and create with purpose at every turn to establish programs to serve youth for many years to come.
