At EdYouth Foundation, we believe that cost should never be what stands between a young person and the support they deserve. That belief is not just something we say, it is built into the structure of everything we do.

We Built Affordability Into Our Model

One of the reasons EdYouth Foundation operates as a supervised training clinic is because it allows us to offer professional-quality mental health care at a significantly lower cost than a traditional private practice. By offering multiple tiers of providers, each with their own fee structure, we are able to meet clients where they are financially, without ever compromising the quality of their care.

Whether you have insurance, qualify for Medicaid, are part of our EdYouth Workforce Program, or are paying out of pocket, there is an option designed with you in mind.

Finding Your Path to Care

We know navigating the cost of mental health care can feel overwhelming. Here is a simple way to think about your options:

  • I have Medicaid. Our fully licensed clinicians (LPCs and LCSWs) accept Medicaid. Visit our Insurance page to learn more.

  • I have commercial insurance.Depending on your plan, your care may be covered in full or in part. Our licensed clinicians are credentialed with a broad range of insurance plans, and our LPC-Associates can bill Aetna and Cigna. Visit our Insurance page for details.

  • I do not have insurance or my plan is not accepted. We offer a tiered self-pay fee structure based on your provider level, with our counseling students offering the most affordable rates. Visit our Self-Pay page to review our full fee schedule.

  • I cannot afford any of the above.Reach out to us. We will do our best to find a solution. We never want cost to be the reason someone does not get help.

  • I am part of the EdYouth Foundation Pathways. If you are currently enrolled in EdYouth Foundation Pathways program, you may qualify for funded counseling services at little to no cost. Visit the EdYouth Foundation website to learn more.

A Note From Our Clinical Director

"Making care affordable is not just a policy, it's personal. As a long-term student, and somebody who always values the work over the income myself, I know firsthand how difficult it can be to find a way to meet your needs when finances are tight. If you are struggling to figure out how to afford care, please reach out directly. We will figure it out together."
